Louis D. Anthony 99 of Leisure Knoll, Manchester died Friday, November 4, at the Leisure Chateau Care Center, Lakewood. He was employed for 37 years for F.S. Moseley & Company, New York City as Supervisor for all IBM machines, before retiring in 1979. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served as Post Commander for 2 terms with the VFW Post #2906, Pompton Lakes. In Manchester, he was a Fourth Degree Knight and served as Grand Knight for the Knights of Columbus, Council 10022, Leisure Knoll for 4 terms. He also belonged to the Italian American, and Computer Clubs, and the Cookie Jar in Leisure Knoll. He volunteered for Meals on Wheels, and Helping Hands, and was an avid Peabody dancer. He was also a parishioner of St John’s Catholic Church, Lakehurst. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he lived there and in Pompton Lakes for 37 years, before moving to Manchester many years ago. He is predeceased by his wife, Frances (DeSantis) Anthony, who died in 2008. Surviving is his son, Peter J. Anthony of Vernon, and 2 grandchildren, Peter Jr. and Danielle. Committal of his cremated remains, with military honors will take place on Wednesday, November 9, at 2:00 pm at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, North Hanover. There are no calling hours.
